Seriously. Have you ever really listened to how people introduce themselves and their company? (Or, for that matter, how YOU introduce yourself?) Or, are you too busy mentally nodding off because of how B-O-R-I-N-G they can be?
What if the words and phrases you used in your "30 second introduction" meant the difference between getting business or losing it?
Well, there's no "IF" about it — how you introduce yourself in the first 30 seconds of meeting someone — heck, more like 7-10 seconds — will make all the difference in the world when it comes to getting business or driving it away.
How do you craft an introduction that actually gets the response:
“I Have THAT Problem, I Want THAT Solution and THOSE Results!”
Simple: Purchase a copy of Ellen Kaminsky's "30 Seconds to New Business: How to Create YOUR Perfect Elevator Speech." She shows you exactly how to do just that.
I have always found it easier to help others craft their networking message than to create my own, (isn't that always the case with our own expertise?) so when I ran across this e-book, I was thrilled.
It is a step-by-step manual that walks you through the process of identifying your ideal client and then crafting the perfect message to introduce yourself to your target market. Not only will you have a fabulous introduction once you've worked through this short, yet powerful manual, but you will also have lots of ideas for leveraging the end result.
Kaminsky shows you how to create your intro, use it in conversation and also how to utilize what you come up with in your other "messaging materials." For instance, once you have a compelling elevator speech, you can use that on your website, marketing brochures, and even as a voicemail greeting.
When it comes to a resource specifically for creating an effective elevator speech, I have not found anything as detailed, yet simple and straightforward as this e-book. It is no wonder that Ellen Kaminsky is known as "The Elevator Speech Therapist" — working through her e-book will most certainly cure the "30-second introduction blues."
If you are not getting the interest and response you'd like from your own personal introduction, I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Kaminsky's e-book and put it to use right away. I have used it to "spruce up" and to "improve" my own introductions. You will NOT be disappointed.
